Travel restrictions
Goldcar vehicles rented in Italy are NOT allowed to travel outside of Italy.
If you are collecting at Bologna, Pisa, Rome, Milan, Venice and Bergamo offices and wish to travel to Switzerland, France, Croatia and Slovenia you must pay a charge:
From 1-3 days: 40€ per vehicle
From 4 days to 7 days: 60€ per vehicle.
From 8 days+: 80€ per vehicle.
If you are collecting in Mainland Italy and you wish to travel to Sicily and Sardinia, there is no extra charge.
If you are collecting at Olbia and Cagliari and wish to travel to travel to Carloforte, Calasetta, Maddalena, Caprera, Asinara & Sant´Antioco: no extra cost
If you are collecting at Olbia and Cagliari and wish to travel to Corsica you must take an additional cover of 9€ per day, a minimum charge of 25€ and maximum charge of 90€
It is NOT possible to travel to Switzerland and France if the vehicle is rented Catania,Cagliari,Olbia or Palermo
The customers are always responsible for all the possible tolls, fees, fines…etc. which are compulsory to pay in Switzerland & France (i.e. in Switzerland it is necessary to have a special tax sticker in the vehicle in order be able to drive in the highways. Normally this type of stickers can be bought at the border. Goldcar cannot assume this type of fees under any circumstances.
Please, take into account this will be applicable only to pick-ups in Italy.
